Project Overview
We created and ran a Sanlam Cape Town Marathon competition on social media in 2016 where individuals were asked to post a picture of themselves and a partner jogging or running and they would then stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to South Africa to take part in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.
The marathon was aimed at promoting healthy living habits with a focus on exercising. We were tasked with raising awareness and promoting the competition on social media.
The project involved strategy, content creation, managing key market influencers as well as overall project management.
The campaign had a one-month duration and was pushed through the Sanlam Facebook and Twitter platforms and proved to be a great success reaching over 150,000 people with over 22,000 likes, over 150 comments and replies, over 200 re-shares and retweets and a total of 92 submissions and entries compared to the client target of 50 entries.
